Dear Parents and Carers,
I do hope that you have enjoyed the break for Christmas and the New year and that illness has not impacted on many of you. Sadly a number of our staff have been unwell over the holidays and have not been able to celebrate the festive season as they would have liked. Most are now out of isolation and able to return to school on Tuesday.
This morning the Department for Education released updated guidance for schools but there is very little that has changed for primary settings. Staff will continue to wear masks in communal areas and test themselves regularly. We plan to operate school in exactly the same way as we did last term until any further changes are announced or local issues dictate that we have to do something different. In all cases I would communicate with you immediately. Headteachers in Wolverhampton have been invited to a virtual meeting on Wednesday afternoon to discuss the current situation.
I fear that illness is going to impact upon staffing levels over these next few weeks but we cannot plan for or anticipate this. We will do all that we can to continue to offer your children a full service and keep school as "normal" as we can. Communication will come via this site, our Facebook page and the text messaging service. I know that you will work with us and support us as you have done so since March 2020 when this pandemic began.
I wish you all a Happy New Year and I really do hope that 2022 is both positive and kind to us all.
Kind Regards
Suzanne Webster-Smith
