Our School Day at Uplands

Parents should ensure their children arrive at school between 8.35 a.m. and 8.45a.m at either the main gate on Finchfield Road or the rear gate on Highlands Road.  At each gate, there is a member of staff on duty to greet your children. The school cannot be held responsible for children arriving on the school site before 8.35 a.m as no staff will be on duty.

​The school is only responsible for pupils for ten minutes after the end of the afternoon session unless they are participating in an extra-curricular activity. In an emergency we would, of course, take care of a child whose parent is unable to reach school by 3.25 p.m, please phone us ideally before 2:00pm if you anticipate being late.

​At the end of the day pupils leave school via the front or rear gate. Staff are on duty at both gates to ensure a safe dismissal. Please ensure your child is clear where they will be picked up and if you are not there they must return to the teacher on duty. Children not collected by 3:25pm will be taken back into school and sent to after school club facility which is chargeable.

If you are allowing your child to walk home alone then we must have written consent for this.
